EAT PLANTS

EARTH IS GREEN

WE DECIDED TO CALL EARTH THE GREEN PLANET.
THIS IS A MESSAGE THAT CONTAINS OUR WILL AND PHILOSOPHY.

SAVE EARTH

VISION

We pursue sustainable, purely plant-based products for the environment and humanity.

RAWGA is a company with R&D capabilities that holds eight patents (as of March 24, 2018) for the world's first technology to extract collagen from plants. It has established a unique business model by vertically integrating the entire process to realize plant-based collagen. It cultivates plants that are the material for plant-based collagen by hand on more than 2㎢ (200ha) of organic land. We operate an R&D centre that has developed plant collagen extraction technology and a factory with production technology. Currently, we are establishing B2B supply partnerships with global health functional food manufacturers and brands for our plant-based collagen ingredients. We are also expanding our B2C business through our own brand business.

WHY PLANT-BASED

We diagnose problems.

Problems with mad cow disease, foot-and-mouth disease, heavy metals, etc. of animal raw materials.

74.7%

out of 87 specimens

90%

of Meat for Human Consumption

Collagen is extracted from the skin and bones of cows and pigs, fish skin, and scales. As a result, problems unique to raw materials such as bovine mad cow disease, pig foot-and-mouth disease, heavy metals in fish, and microplastics are being raised.

Health Problems Due to Increased Animal Food Consumption.

33%

of the protein as animal

67%

as vegetable

Collagen is a type of protein that you must take. However, if you are concentrated on animal protein, the risk of lifestyle diseases such as metabolic syndrome increases. Therefore, studies* have shown that it is desirable to consume one-third of the protein as animal and two-thirds as vegetable.

Animal raw materials with higher carbon emissions than plants

18%

of the global greenhouse gas emissions

60kg

carbon emissions from beef

The FAO said 18 percent of the global greenhouse gas emissions are attributed to livestock.**According to Our World in Data, based on 1KG production, beef is about 60kg, farmed fish is about 5kg, and plants are about 0.5kg carbon emissions. Greenhouse gas emissions are measured in kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalents (kgCO2eq) per kilogram of food. This means non-CO2 greenhouse gases are included and weighted by their relative warming impact.

Food : greenhouse gas emissions across the supply chain

Greenhouse gas emissions are measured in kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalents (kgCO2eq) per kilogram of food. This means non-CO2 greenhouse gases are included and weighted by their relative warming impact.

Process

We create an industrial value chain.

  • Crop farmers / High value-added crop cultivation

Increasing the competitiveness of agriculture and increasing the actual income of farmers by cultivating high value-added special crops through organic farming, breaking away from agriculture centered on crops with low individual price competitiveness.

  • Brand / Create New Value
In the saturated collagen market, vegetable substitute materials can increase sales through SKU expansion. The positive image of vegan and plant-based products can improve the brand image.

  • End-Consumer / Unworrying Collagen Intake
Consumers can increase consumption satisfaction through collagen intake, which eliminates concerns about the taste and ingredients of the product, health due to ingestion, and the environment surrounding them. Consumers can create sustainable habits through value
    consumption.

  • Securing Sustainability with Organic Agriculture
In conventional agriculture, as more fertilizers and pesticides are applied to expand production, soil fertility declines, ecological destruction, and agricultural problems arise. Through organic farming, we not only obtain healthy agricultural products, but also create a cycle linking people and nature.
